Helen worked for a company who published and distributed books on sustainable living and environmental good practice – a lovely job but not what she trained to do. She left the job and started her own company HMD Graphic Design. She wanted to offer high quality graphic design to companies who did good things and had fantastic products but whose branding and communications didn’t yet reflect this.
Our first clients were local environmental companies – small business in those days (some are now national companies). Business grew and we started working with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) which led on to other international contracts and experience in working with tri-lingual documents.
Jonathan joined in 2002 and brought web experience, illustration skills and an analytical approach to design briefs, Then we got busier.
In 2008 we changed our name to Miller. We think it's easier to remember, simpler than an acronym and our new branding reflects our continued passion for what we do!
